The Dream

I had a recurring dream again last night. Underwater, camera in hand, capturing colors that later disappear before I can save them. It’s happened so many times I stopped being surprised by it.

This time I woke up and the fear was gone within minutes. What stayed was something quieter — not the panic, but the wondering why. So I wrote a small triptych around that instead of my usual pieces this week.

Three acts — the water, the vanishing, and what’s left after the fear burns off.

Creativity a dream

I. The Water
Waves catch morning light—
my hands frame what won’t stay still.
Proof I need to keep.

II. What Slips
Pocket empty now.
Every color I captured
gone before I woke.

III. After the Fear
Panic dissolves first.
Something else stays in its place—
not fear. Just wonder.

Sometimes the pause between projects says more than the project itself.
